William C. Shrout, 85, of Indianapolis passed away August 25, 2018. He was born August 22, 1933 in Owensville, KY to Robert Lee and Grace (Hatton) Shrout.

William worked for 42 ½ years at Kroger where he served as a head grocery clerk and was a member of the retail clerks union. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, traveling and in earlier life, riding motorcycles.

William was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Shrout.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Shrout; sons, Bob, David and Paul Shrout; brother, Danny Shrout and one grandchild, Colton Shrout.
