Mr. William Anthony 'Tony' Gregg, Sr., Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was 60. Tony was born December 28, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late George William Gregg and Patty Joe (Binder) Gregg.
Tony was a proud veteran and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He had been employed as a plumber and had worked for various companies in the area until his retirement after 38 years of service due to disability. He attended the United Trinity Church of Shelbyville and was a member of the Beech Grove Lodge No. 694, F&AM as well as the Murat Shrine in Indianapolis.
Tony spent much of his time playing golf, collecting and shopping. Tony was definitely the shopper of the family. He also enjoyed music especially that of Elvis Presley and Bob Seger, playing darts, traveling and taking long walks on the beach. Tony was a very social person and loved people and people loved Tony. He volunteered many hours of his time in order to help others. During the last year of his life, Tony was willing to try new medicines in the hope that it might help someone else.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Kim Gregg; his mother, Patty Gregg; his children, Jennifer Gregg, Misty Tincher, Tony (Erin) Gregg, Jr., Jeff (Megan) Gregg and Faith Gregg; his grandchildren, Sheyenna, Elishua, Zaiden, Xander, Hailey, Sophia and Lochlan; his great-grandchildren, Oaklynn and Parker; his siblings, Ed (Kathy) Gregg, Kevin (Lisa) Gregg, Angie (Rob) Ferry, Kim (Jason) Sluder and Tim Gregg; his in-laws, Kerry, Kory, Kiki, Karla and Mike as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Tony is preceded in passing by his brother-in-law, Rex Wilkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution in Tony's honor, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Heart Association, Wounded Warriors Project or Riley Hospital for Children.
