Willie Taylor Wilson, 85, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at The Hearth at Stone''s Crossing. Taylor was born on April 6, 1926 in Hohenwald, TN. Taylor was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. Taylor married his love Margarete Emma Ernstberger.
Taylor was employed for many years with Chevy before retiring. He was a very quiet, kind, family, and hard-working man. He played the bass. Taylor was also members of the Moose Lodge #2079 and VFW Post #5864.
Taylor is survived by his loving wife Margarete of 63 years; children: Jolantha Moody and Ralph Wilson (Leslie); 5 grandchildren: Angie Moody, Tory Taylor, Bryon Wilson (Sandy), Ross Wilson, and Jenna Wilson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood, with the funeral immediately following. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with full military rites honored. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran''s of Foreign Wars.
