Wilma L. (Sherman) Taylor, age 75, passed away at home on November 25, 2008. She was a resident of Indianapolis. She was born February 14, 1933 in Dugger, Indiana. She attended Union High School graduating in 1951. She then married William (Bill) Taylor February 9, 1952 and he was from Riverton, Indiana. In the early 50''s, she worked at RCA and in the early 60''s at Indiana Bell. Her last employment was Clark Products of Plainfield, IN. Survivors include daughters Patty (Larry) Miller, Martinsville, Indiana; Julie (Omar) El-Abiad, Clermont, Indiana. Grandchildren include Mandy Miller, Leri (Bill) Ham both of Martinsville and Aminah "Bean" El-Abiad of Clermont. Six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also one sister Judy (Paul) Woods of Dugger, Indiana. She is preceded in death by Pandora and Robert Sherman (parents), Bobby Sherman (brother), William H. Taylor (husband), Karen Sue Taylor (infant daughter) and Gary J. Miller (grandson). Wilma was an avid animal lover. Her interests and hobbies included doll collecting, her flower garden, collecting Pinocchio & reading anything that grabbed her mind. One of her greatest dreams fulfilled was her adventure to Egypt. She left no stone unturned. Wilma had a sassy spirit and unmatched wit. She was a strong independent woman wrapped around a kind heart. She was very patriotic and a strong Republican. She was very handy and always the one to come to if something needed fixed or figured out. We will miss her giggles, stories and presence. Our heart aches by not having her with us here but as Mom would say "The show must go on!!" And last but not least, Wilma leaves behind her beloved kitty companions Dolfie and Sissy Cat and a collection of back porch kitties. Visitation will be at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood on Saturday, November 29th, from 10 am until noon.
